You should finish it and post it later. Would be very cool to see the finished piece.

I've got other projects I need to tend to but I might touch this up at some stage! :)

Pretty sure he said that the artists were not allowed to fight each other... great water color either way.
Edit in the video timestamp 3:30 jazza says and I quote " A rule is. There is no war waged from an artist to another for we are all united."
I am not telling you this to be a butt. Just saw this and was bummed out cause it violates a rule. Best of regards Elemental.

Sandwolf49 responds:

There was nothing that said that they couldn't be fighting, just that it couldn't be gory levels of graphic.

Edit; But there not fighting fellow artists, there bringing life and creativity to the uninspired, as evidenced by Baylee bringing color to the one sketch soldier and mark giving a pencil to another.
Plus the sketch soldiers are wielding eraser swords.
What I wanted my piece to represent is one artist bringing inspiration to someone who doesn't feel creative or those who are Disparaging of art because of their insecuritys and giving them the tools to build themselves, thous the sketchy soldiers.

I thought I had a real chance this time hahah. Then I see this! The attention to detail is insane. There is so much to see in this piece. Its really well made. Congrats XD

Trixks responds:

Thank you so much ^-^ its good to hear that ppl have loved it so far and appreciate the detail put into it

This is an amazing drawing! Great colors, strong line-work, strong focal points. Though its not a very interesting piece, it lacks a sense of atmosphere. More specifically, if you hadn't told me in the description what this piece was about I wouldn't have known what this was portraying.

Overall it is a definite 4/5, but it lacks the storytelling aspect I believe this COTM requires! Either way keep up the great work! And stay awesome!

LordDiesel responds:

Thank you and I totally get your point here.
I wasn't actually sure what extractly to draw but I wanted to combine my two favourite things: Space and glowy things and wolves.
Thanks a lot though!

The story behind the artwork is great. But your coloring does not really do the story justice. It’s to dark to really please the eye. Though the background looks great, the foreground characters feel a little underwhelming.. simply they are to dark, even with the dark aesthetic there ought to be more light, especially on his face. Over it really good, and with some minor tweaks it would be amazing.

Dreamsverse responds:

Hello, thank you for input~! I tried out what you had said, lighting it up a bit more and I found it lost the dynamic effect of the drama that's happening around the characters, as well as lost the mystique of the lighting that is in place (which, in turn, lost some of the drastic effect of the man being surrounded by the light, leaving him in the dark as everything he has known and loved being burned away in a bright light.) It is definitely something to look into, but I think, at least for now, I'll leave it as is (unless, of course, I find a better way to keeping it close to the original idea as well as adding in enough light that it doesn't lose my initial purpose/idea.)
Again, I greatly appreciated your feedback and I'll keep pondering what you said and revisiting the piece up until the due date~!

(Oops, I forgot to mention that I did add some lighting to his face, and I think that was pretty nice a touch, which, if you see this before I update the image, then it'll be updated here shortly, ha.)

Very crisp line work! And the coloring is done quite well too. Worthy of 4 stars with out a doubt.

Thanks a lot.

I love the design of the character. Using two very unique and powerful Pokémon while still maintaining their individual aspects into a single illustration is commendable.

I do however see many issues while anatomy. Such as the positions of the arms, legs, torso and thorax in relation to angles joint locations. Ex. The left leg (portrait left) where the thorax and the thigh connect, should be further back in space if you are basing it on the center line set by the angles in the waist. The same can be said for the shoulder. When dealign with hominid life forms they follow an angle rule. If the shoulders are heading in one directional angle. ex. o/--\= The shoulders are pointing down, so the hips will do a opposite or mirrored angle to compensate.

And since this character is facing us at a slight angle, but is standing straight. The left hip/leg join should not be sitting lower than the right especially since the "knees" are sitting flush. (Note* as I look at it longer, I notice that the hip/leg joint is not lower, but is simply not al large as the one on the right. Design? or mistake?)

Then you have the angle of the chest, which is fine and looks great. But the location of the left shoulder is off.

Again the design is awesome, and unique. The line art is fantastic. Overall its a fantastic piece, I only give this 3.5 stars because of the anatomy issues. If the anatomy was fixed/edited this is easily a 4-4.5 star illustration. You have a bright future ahead of you. Keep up the good work.

Braivety responds:

wow thanks alot haha xD yeah, I'd say anatomy and working with objects and things in a 3d environment rather then 2d is my biggest weakness right now.
